A pair of mittens for Mittens For Akkol. This pair is in the Chipman's Block pattern. Double knitting for warmth and sized for about a 4 or 5 year old child. Posted by Picasa

Wow, your mittens are just beautiful. What intricate work. Some child is going to be very lucky to receive such a beautiful gift. I was wondering what kind of yarn you used, and also what pattern.

I'm in London, Ont. For postage to CIC, I find that the smaller the box, the better, so I pack tightly! Next time, I'll put the knits in a plastic bag and try to vacuum out the air to get more in a smaller space. Bubble envelopes cost almost as much to send as a box. Your mitts look great!

Don't worry about not being able to knit as much as everyone on CIC, I think some of them have more time!
